Recovery Force Health’s Movement And Compressions (MAC) System Named as a Finalist in the World-Renowned 2024 Edison Awards™

Fishers, Indiana – February 8, 2024 – RF Health’s Movement and Compressions (MAC) System has been named a finalist in the 2024 Edison Awards™. The company is being honored in the Health, Medical, and BioTech category for its disruptive capability of DVT Prevention and Mobility Tracking of patients in the hospital and at home. The Edison Awards™, named after the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, recognizes some of the most innovative products and business leaders in the world including Steve Jobs, Gwynne Shotwell, Ginni Rometty and Lanzatech, Apple, and Lockheed Martin. The prestigious accolade honors excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design, and innovation.

RF Health is a leader in providing innovative solutions that alleviate unnecessary barriers for healthcare professionals in the hospital and at home to improve patient outcomes. Intermittent mechanical compression has remained stagnant and unchanged for decades and as Thomas Edison once said, “There’s a better way to do it – find it,” and that’s exactly what RF Health has achieved.

The RF Health MAC System is ‘cutting the cord’ of the outdated current standard of care devices that are uncomfortable, noisy and tether patients to the bed significantly impairing patient mobility initiatives – all leading to unsatisfied patients and staff. The MAC System is the world’s first tubeless, cordless wearable compression device that also measures real-time patient mobility data.

“Our team is both honored and excited to be recognized as an Edison Award finalist in the Category of Health, Medical, and BioTech” said President, Jason Bobay. “Our purpose as an organization is to bring innovative devices to the market that make a direct impact on the delivery of patient care, and the Movement And Compressions (MAC) System is the perfect example. We are committed to continuing to push the boundaries of the current standard of care within the industry and we embrace the thrill of progress that sparks change – illuminating the path to a better patient outcome and experience.”

All nominations are reviewed by the Edison Awards’ Steering Committee and an executive judging body. The panel is comprised of more than 2,000 senior business executives and academics from fields of product development, design, engineering, science, marketing and education, as well as past winners.

Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced at the Edison Awards Gala on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Fort Myers, FL. To view all of the 2024 Finalists, visit https://edisonawards.com/2024-edison-awards/.
